Classes

Our Classes:

Preschool Program

Our fully licensed preschool program is for children ages 3-5 who may not have a diagnosis yet, but clearly have moderate learning delays in more than one area of development.

Our classroom instruction includes sensory-based activities along with age and developmentally appropriate education lesson. Each student has an individual Education Plan (IEP) from which all lessons and activities are based and in line with Core Curriculum Content Standards.  Our curriculum focuses on increasing communication and independence while fostering creativity and a sense of curiosity.

These goals and objectives are guides to help our staff to assist the child to acquire skills that other children of their age already have mastered.  Children can also receive related services at our preschool such as speech/language, occupational, and/or physical therapy.

Our students will have opportunities to integrate into the adjoining New Beginnings preschool classrooms and interact with typical peers.  This interaction enriches the therapeutic and educational environment for all. Developmental skills such as communication, exploration, movement, play and socialization are essential for all children.  Some children with disabilities need specialized intervention to gain the skills necessary for kindergarten. Our program uses a model in which all of the staff members working with a child share techniques to address individual goals and objectives.

After-School Program for Special Needs Children

Our fully licensed after school program is for special needs children or children who have moderate learning delays in more than one area of development. Children will be able to receive at the following therapies, at an additional cost, by certified staff while at aftercare: ABA, Speech, OT and PT. These therapies can be covered by insurance. Please ask our enrollment director about your insurance plan.

Afterschool programs positively impact students with special needs in key areas. Afterschool programs provide students with special needs opportunities to increase their skills while building on their potential.

Studies show that students with special needs who participate in afterschool have:
