With 20 years of experience in the field of Autism and Special Needs, she still continues her education. She loves working in an environment where she makes a difference in the “quality of life” for the people she serves. Her dedication is to the whole family not just the classified child. She served the community as an EMT for 12 years, 10 years in the town of Paramus. She worked as Home program coordinator & Team Leader for the Paramus school district for 7 years. She is still a CPR, AED, and First Aid instructor at the Bergen County EMS Training Center. She has many other civic, state awards & other certifications not related to the education field. She was a psychology major seeking a degree in grief counseling but after the tragic deaths of her 2 Autistic nephews, and having special needs children of her own, she decided to dedicate her life to this population. She is a parent of 4 boys, 3 girls and has sponsored another young lady from Guatemala for 6 years who proudly calls her “mom”.

Lisa got into the field of Autism when her son Rafaello was diagnosed with ASD in 2008. As a mother of a child with special needs she truly understands what each family as a whole when their child receives a diagnosis. With that in mind, it is a deeply personal connection that Lisa shares with families and she takes great care in helping to walk them through the overwhelming process of finding and therapy for their children. Lisa has a professional background in marketing having worked for many years as a marketing director for a large children’s publisher. Lisa is also trained in: CPR & ABA therapy.
Cherry has been doing payroll and HR since1996 working at ADP. She used that experience as a stepping stone to build a foundation in her career. In 2000, she started doing HR/Payroll for Paramus School District and now is working at Heart to Heart & Associates.
Christine has over 20 years of experience in the field of education. She has a Master’s Degree in Literacy and a Master’s Degree in School Supervision and Administration. .She has worked in the NYC public school system as a classroom teacher, reading specialist, early childhood staff developer and assistant principal for grades pre-K through 2. She was a liaison between families and schools and supervised the School Based Support Team who conducted IEP meetings and created appropriate programming for children with special needs. Christine left the NYC public school system in 2009 when her son was diagnosed with ASD. She decided to focus her work on helping other families with ASD. She has sensitivity and a keen understanding of the challenges facing families of special needs children and adults and she is able to help them navigate through the process of securing services and verifying insurance coverage. Christine is also trained in CPR & ABA therapy.

Jaclyn brings with her the experience of having built a million dollar insurance funded ABA therapy business from the ground up. Jaclyn has also developed a large private home therapy and tutoring business over the past ten years.
Prior to this, Jaclyn worked for 5 years as a Speech Language Specialist for Bergen County Special Services. She is also as a certified Elementary School Teacher, and was a private consultant and program coordinator for two Bergen County School Districts.
Jackie is also trained in: Applied Behavioral, Language Disorders, Verbal Behavior, Sign Language, PECS Picture Exchange Communication Systems, AAC Alternative Augmentative Communication Devices, Feeding Therapy, Oral Motor Therapy.
Cynthia Stritmater, Preschool Teacher/Aftercare Supervisor
Cynthia is a certified special education teacher who lives in Rockland County, NY. She has worked with students with disabilities for 10 years, gaining experience in the non-profit sector as well as in public education. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Siena College and her Master’s Degree in Childhood Education and Students with Disabilities from Long Island University. In addition, she has completed the necessary coursework through Manhattanville College and is studying to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
She has educated and nurtured children with disabilities from ages 2-16. She has experience with the following disabilities/diagnoses: Asperger’s syndrome, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, autism, Down syndrome, emotionally disturbed, intellectually disabled, learning disabled, pica, Prader-Willi syndrome, and traumatic brain injury.
Tara has been with Heart to Heart for over 15 years. She is trained in ABA therapy and has over 7 years of experience as an ABA aide in the public school system. Tara is currently working as an executive assistant for Heart to Heart and is very involved in assisting with ABA home programing.
Mona heads up our every growing swim program Patiently Wading and Patiently Wading ISP. This unique program is an Individualized Swim Plan for special needs child at any level of swim. We use a water proof PEC’s system with a timer to help the child succeed.
Christina DeMartin-Swartz, Administrator of Enrollment and Family Services
Christina has over 15 years of medical experience, and was a certified EMT who volunteered for Paramus Ambulance for 6 years. In 2007 and 2009 she became a mother to two amazing children and lives for all of the new adventures that they bring. Autism and children with special needs is a passion very close to home for Christina and a subject that is taken very seriously. Christina is an outgoing, compassionate, and honest individual who will ensure that the best treatment is given to your children, since she feels that everyone deserves the best chance they can possibly get!
